With over 250 shows across the USA since the pandemic, Colorado-based plug-in-and-play heroes Greg Hoy & the Boys are touring in support of their vinyl LP ‘HIT MUSIC’. Comparisons to Nathaniel Ratecliff, Phish, Sturgill Simpson, and Jack White aside, Hoy’s Americana, Bluegrass-and-jam adjacent melodic, catchy music gets people dancing and drinking. Anchored by stand-up bassist Vince Camellini and drummer Mick Knudsen, formerly of Denver favs Two Faces West, are often complemented by keys and horns depending on the venue (the band was recently a 6-piece for the Magic Rat in Ft Collins, and a 7-piece for The End in Lafayette~!)
They’ll also be performing songs from Greg Hoy’s entire catalog, including their EP ‘Enjoy the View’ recorded by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies) and mixed by Sylvia Massy (Tool, Johnny Cash, Tom Petty), and more. And Eddie Spaghetti from Supersuckers performed on the band’s ‘Holy Mother of God’ EP.
