For over 15 years The Parlor Pickers have been peddling their high-octane blend of old-time country, rock & roll, blues, and bluegrass to bars, tap houses, concert halls, and festival stages across the country — and they’ve been leaving smiling, slightly hoarse audiences in their wake ever since.

Renowned for a live show that’s as hilarious as it is jaw-droppingly tight, the Pickers have earned a reputation as one of the most downright fun bands you can see. Their musical chops are razor-sharp, their on-stage banter is quick and fearless, and the chemistry between these three is impossible to fake.

Top it all off with catchy melodies, blazing solos, and soaring three-part harmonies so good they’ve been called angelic by even the most hardened of heathens, and you’ve got a band that doesn’t just play a show, they burn the stage down and leave the audience begging for more.

Aaron Mitchell thrives in the creative realm as a community arts activator, artist/illustrator, graphic designer/facilitator, Instructor, singer/songwriter, director, arts coordinator, writer, collaborator, event organizer, creative marketing/branding creator etc.

IN THE MUSIC WORLD–Aaron Mitchell is an indie-western folk/country singer, songwriter and visual artist.

He was born and raised in the small rural town of Ft. Lupton, Colorado, but moved to Chicago in his early twenties to live the “big city” life. In his younger days he was very influenced by new wave, punk, indie and alternative. However, while cutting his teeth in Chicago as a musician, ironically Aaron found himself being drawn to the sound of early country music- taking him back to his roots of growing up a “city boy” in a “country town.” After falling under the spell of artists like Hank Williams Sr., Johnny Cash, Dylan, John Prine, Townes Van Zandt and many others he started to carve out his own distinct sound as a songwriter.

Aaron explores all the ups and downs of life through his songwriting in an authentically vulnerable fashion. He’s the real deal– in that  he is real. He is a heart wailer; deciphering codes and honoring the whispers of the muse. He can sing a romping’ “stick it to the man” song and go right in to a heart broken ballad then top it off with a funny “tongue and cheek” ditty.

He released a new solo album in March of 2024 called FICTIONAL LOVER!
