DESCRIPTION:John McKay’s first instrument was piano\, which he started playing at the age of 10. He quickly realized by the age of 11 that the drums were his real interest. By the age of 15\,  John was learning guitar and bass. From then on the guitar became his main focus. Throughout the years he played in various bands. In 1996 John earned a B.A. in Classical guitar performance from the University of Colorado Boulder. His first band playing his original music is the Wiley Cotton Band which was named after his father- Wiley Cotton McKay. This band got together in Feb. 2014 for a show at the Dickens Opera House in Longmont which was quite a blast! \nGuitarist/singer/songwriter John McKay blends the deeply personal insights of a man immersed in nature\, places of the past  along with political observations of a protest singer\, and the broad musical traditionalism of a folk rock musician with the passion and commitment tot a rock and roller. A musicians musician\, McKay has an element of distraction to his performance as it is difficult to ignore the guitar playing which is in competition with vivid mind-expanding lyrics. \nThe John McKay Band is rich with musical talent which runs the musical gamete from jam band to folk rock to world musics. DESCRIPTION:Mike Finders is a guitarist\, bandleader\, singer\, entertainer\, educator in his multi-decade career in story and song.  For the last fifteen years he has toured Colorado and the West with his bluegrass band\, FY5\, as well as his blues band\, Spidercat.  He is a two-time winner of the Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at Merlefest in Wilkesboro\, NC\, and his songs are regularly played not only on syndicated and public radio\, but also at jams around campfires at bluegrass festivals across the west.  In between his band endeavors\, one of Mike’s favorite things to do is perform solo or duo. \nMike is focused on providing entertainment for crowds ranging from busy bar rooms to attentive folk enthusiasts.  He has hundreds of songs in his repertoire and is able to pull ones to fit the occasion and room.  His singing is authentic\, familiar\, and nuanced as one might expect a veteran folk performer to sing\, while his guitar playing is suited to match the singer and song\, with flourishes of blues and bluegrass licks to showcase his chops.  Always ready to include stories with his songs\, Mike is a gifted MC\, and can bring the room together with an affable and humorous delivery.

Combining good ‘ol country heartache along with snarky folksy wit\, Sugar Britches has been playing non-stop throughout Colorado and Wyoming in bars\, parking lots\, weddings\, bat mitzvahs\, rodeos\, amphitheaters and regular-ass theaters since 2017. \nRecent highlights for the band include recognition on The Colorado Sound’s Top 20 List of Colorado Artists for 2021 and an opening slot at the legendary Mishawaka Amphitheatre for Wynonna Judd. \nSugar Britches also won Best New Band of 2018 and Best Country Band of 2019 from the Fort Collins Musicians Association and were nominated for Best Country Band of 2019 by the Denver Westword. They have opened up for many national touring artists\, including Wynonna Judd & the Big Noise\, Pokey LaFarge\, Corb Lund\, The Reverend Horton Heat and Jason Eady. \nThe band  features a rotating cast of stellar roots musicians from the Front Range of Colorado\, including Ben O’Connor\, Ansel Foxley\, Darren Radach\, Lance Ruby and Tony Nascar.
