Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Jeremy Mohney has been inspired by the sounds of Swing. He plays saxophone, sings the blues, writes original music and leads one tight band. When a person listens to his music, they might notice influences from greats such as Louis Armstrong, Glenn Miller, Django Reinhardt, Sidney Bechet, Benny Goodman and many more, but it’s easy to recognize that Jeremy adds his own unique twist on it. He truly takes elements from Jazz of the Swing Era and makes it his own. He will show you that even after all these years, Swing hasn’t gone anywhere.
Jeremy has played in such settings as Denver’s Lindy on the Rocks and Mile High Blues dance festivals. He has also made waves on stage at Boulder’s 1940’s Ball. His band has also played Denver’s Mercury Cafe , Chicago’s Fizz , and Boston Swing Central. In addition to these considerable achievements at home or on the road, still, some of his favorite places to play have the Jamestown Mercantile, Swing Night at Boulder’s No Name Bar, Denver’s Meadowlark and just plain busking on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall. Tune in to see where he’ll be playing next!
