SUMMARY:Aaron McCloskey and Alex Johnstone
DESCRIPTION:Aaron McCloskey maintains a busy schedule playing with front range bluegrass band “Wood Belly” (winners of the 2018 Telluride Bluegrass Band Competition)\, and rock bands “Western Skyline”\, and “Safe Boating is No Accident”. He also regularly performs solo and duo shows with a variety of talented musicians. Aaron was featured in the May 2010 issue of “Flatpicking Guitar Magazine” for his work with “Steve Smith and Hard Road”. Aaron lives in Berthoud\, Colorado where he can be found hiking\, fly-fishing\, and teaching guitar and banjo. \nhttp://www.aaronmccloskeymusic.com \nAlex Johnstone of Rapidgrass has spent the last many years touring around bars\, bluegrass festivals\, and kids music camps all over America and Canada as a member of the Colorado based bluegrass band Spring Creek. He started his musical life as teenager playing electric rock and blues guitar and took up the mandolin and fiddle in his early twenties. Alex started playing out professionally while ski bumming in Crested Butte Colorado and also where he met the other members of Spring Creek. He followed the band out to South Plains College in Levelland Texas where he studied music with renowned pickers Alan Mundy and Joe Carr. Alex currently makes his home in Buena Vista\, Colorado and enjoys making music\, skiing\, and fly fishing.
